Add to my lists | Print this list

The type of place that serves loose leaf teas in a pot, sometimes steaming the tea leaves prior to steeping, almost always favoring tea over coffee—most often these joints don’t even serve coffee. Let’s make a list of the best of the best—the one or two tea houses you should hit when in a given city.

so much variety
(with crunchiness and a hug)
the twighlight tea lounge in brattleboro, vt

(much) more upscale

Gryphon Tea Room
savannah, georgia
